Our parish is an inclusive community of Christ followers serving our communities and beyond. There are two churches in our parish, St. Margaret’s of Scotland in Oakfield, N.S., and St. Thomas in Fall River, N.S. The churches have worked together on a number of ecumenical missions, including supporting refugee families and preparing the St. George’s supper in Halifax. They also both have made progress on green initiatives to reduce their use of fossil fuels in recent years. As you scroll through this website, you will also see a number of unique missions in each church, all aimed at supporting the communities they serve. We pride ourselves on bringing people together as neighbours for events ranging from Christmas concerts to a Fall tea and social. We value fellowship that ranges from Saturday morning breakfasts to home-based gatherings where prayer shawls are knitted for those in need. We are moving forward to bring more disciples of all ages to replenish our ministries, and to reveal God’s nature by doing the work of justice, peace and love that His Son Jesus Christ calls us to.
